The front of the building is getting steps, sidewalks and planter boxes.

There are two large planters with steps between and beside.

And inside the building, the magic word is "color"--on the walls, on the floors and elsewhere!

Handrails in the main lobby have been painted.

The Pit has gotten carpet in the rear section and some of the final wall color.

Look at the rich wall color behind the beautiful stonework. Finally, a great place for our youth!

And in the youth classroom area, WOW! Talk about color! Carpets mostly are covered with protective plastic, so you can't get the full effect.

Nothing dull here!

And in one of the classrooms where the carpet is exposed, you can see that the carpet is made up of carpet squares. Different colors and patterns form a really neat look on the floor.

And in the new sanctuary....

Wood paneling has the final overlay trim. Looks like a church, doesn't it?

This is the front edge of the chancel. You get just a little peek at this beautiful wood against the wine colored carpet. Nice paring of materials!

The sacristy has shaped up.

A layer of cork is being laid on the chancel floor before the final wood flooring is added. This layer of cork helps with sound.

These steps are in the balcony. This showcases the new carpet. OK--who put the dirty footprints on the carpet???

There will be a small service driveway with some handicapped spaces on the Mammoth Oaks side. Workers are laying and packing crushed gravel in preparation for a final topping of asphalt.

Weird Picture Time!

I don't know about you, but I have never seen a public restroom that had a utility shelf in each and every stall, but guess whose building has them!  And you wondered where to set your pocketbook, cell phone or iPad!

Can you identify what is missing from this picture?

Ok-time is up! The construction superintendent's office trailer is gone! He has set up office in one of the lower level storerooms for the rest of the project.
