August 2, 2012

The prime word for this week is BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!!

Everywhere on the site something is happening.

And there is construction "stuff" all over the place!

OK, wait a minute. That last picture??? Was taken from where???

Yep! That one came from the catwalks! Let's take the high tour!

And this week, we finally said "Good-bye" to Big Yellow, a. k. a. the big yellow construction creane.

The crane arrived on site on April 16th. As of Monday evening, July 30, it is gone.

GONE!

And not on 1, not on 2, not on 3, but 7 flatbed trailers!!!  And for those of you asking, the steeple will be mounted in late September using a truck crane brought in on the side of the building.

So ends a busy week on the construction site.
But all of them will be busy from now on!

During the next two weeks, the concrete floors in the lower level will be poured, and the two staircases in the worship space leading to the balcony will be built.

As of July 31, the numbers say that $3,861,399 out of a total contract price of $10,934,985 has been completed!

And we have not had to borrow any money for construction as yet and do not anticipate having to borrow until early September!

THANK YOU!
