Two Blogs This Week! - This is #2 of 2

There are two blogs posted this week, so if you did not see the 1st one yet, be sure to look at it also!

If you think we have run up the white flag and surrendered, that's not the case!

When the wind is blowing, you will see that the white flag actually is the emblem for the Evangelical Lutheran Churcn in America as shown below the picture.

The flag is temporary until the steeple arrives later this summer!
The worship platform is set with wire reinforcement mesh and is ready for a concrete pour.
Other sections of the worship center floor will be poured in multiple sessions due to the slope of the floor.

The shiny metal sheets used for the roof and the floors are cut to fit with a circular cutting blade, a noisy and tedious process.
And speaking of these metal sheets, workers are busy filling in the floor sections of the lobby outside the worship space.
This is a view across what will be the lobby on the upper level outsde the worship center.

And speaking of lobbies, this view is from inside the main lobby on the lower level looking towards what will eventually be the front entrance. If you can imagine the glass and brick and trimwork, you get an idea of what a grand entrance this will be!
As we end this week, the skeleton is just about complete. We hope that this picture generates some excitement and anticipation in all of your as we really start to see the majesty of this building. Skeleton done--next week we start adding "flesh"!
